Continious conversion for Kinetis K ADC using AN4590

Hi,

I am working on Kinetis (K10) for the last year, and the question is regarding the use of DMA for ADC as mentioned in AN4590. Can I use the ADC in continuous conversion mode and not use the PDB trigger source? My intention is to make the conversion as fast as possible.

PDB is just a trigger signal, ADC itself can run in continuous mode. So you can use ADC without PDB trigger.

Hello Zhe Tian,

I am glad you can give me some helpful ideas here. I wish to use both ADC with their differential inputs in a sequence, so i would like to have a trigger mechanism which could go and change the next ADC index. This is similar to the operation demonstrated in the Application Note.
