Ok, so I had spent a tremendous amount of time learning how to use KDS, the Kinetis processors, and Processor Expert.  It has been a couple of years now and I actually have forgotten most of what I had learned.  :smileyhappy:  Now we have to deal with MCUXpresso / FreeRTOS (was previously using KDS, KSDK, and MQX) and I wouldn't be surprised if we have to re-write a bunch of our code.

I'm going to start from scratch.  I'm obviously going to google this a lot, but for the active community members here, are there any primers that you would recommend?  Another alternative is to just jump in fresh and start over, and look up answers for all of the problems I encounter as they come up.  :smileyhappy:

Hi Dave:

I would suggest you download the latest MCUXpresso from below link

Welcome | MCUXpresso SDK Builder

There is a document folder, you can get some documents you are interested.

For my point of view, mcuxpresso & ksdk is easier to use.  Many demos are ported from MQX package.

Daniel

I don't think that there is any rule that says you must stop using MQX and KDS and move to FreeRTOS and MCUXpresso!

Yes, of course.  It's a guessing game -- stick with the old, working code that runs on old tools, or assume those tools will die and prepare for the future?  I'm sure I could get away with what I have for years, but this is also an opportunity to see what MCUXpresso has to offer.
