Can period measurement be performed on a ramp signal

Hello,

I am using K10 processor to perform period measurement on a ramp signal as shown here:

Is this possible using the "Dual Edge Capture mode" with rising edge as the edge to be monitored? Or is the measurement limited to rectangular type signals.

If this is possible, and I use Channel 0 on FTM0 as the input for the signal, then should I explicitly set anything on Ch1 of FTM0. I am using Processor Expert to configure the peripheral.

If the signal is quite neat, I think it's OK. Or, if there is some noise around the critical point, the result is not guaranteed. Yes, you need to set clearly on FTM channel.I think you also can consider CMP for your period measurement. CMP support hysteresis feature, if signal are with noise, it's a better way.
