Can I run MCUXpresso-SDK sample codes for TWR-K60D100M on TWR-k53N512 ?

I have TWR-K53N512, and I want to try the sample codes in MCUXpresso-SDK.

So I built the SDK as below:

As can be seen, we can not select board TWR-K53N512. But if we choose K53, it will suggest board TWR-K60D100M.

Somebody said that TWR-K53N512 and TWR-K60D100M are quite similar. So:

* Can we run the sample code on TWR-K53N512 directly?

* If not, how can we modify the sample code, so that it can run on TWR-K53N512 board?

Hi

TWR-K53N512 board mounted K53 chip is Kinetis 100MHz Silicon Rev.1.x chip;

TWR-K60D100M board mounted K60 chip is Kinetis 100MHz Silicon Rev.2.x chip.

Please check here to find the two version chip difference.

About TWR-K53N512 board example code, customer could download NXP MQX software from here.

For the baremetal projects, customer could download CodeWarrior IDE software, which support TWR-K53N512 with processor expert tool.

Please check attached baremetal project for Kinetis 100MHz Ver1.x silicon, supporting TWR-K60N512 board and TWR-K53N512 board also.

Hi, Hui Ma:

I know I can use old IDE/SDK/RTOS for TWR-K53N512, but:

* I would like to try new MCUXpresso-SDK/IDE.

* Also if I could, I would prefer FreeRTOS, instead of MQX RTOS.

So you know if TWR-K53N512 will be supported in MCUXpresso-SDK/IDE in future?

Unfortunately, we don't have plan to support TWR-K53N512 board with MCUXpresso-SDK software so far.
