Hi everyone!

As I read on documentation, KDS is a complimentary IDE for Kinetis MCU's.

Why complimentary? Isn't it enough to cope the whole software development of a generic application?

It has no code-size limitations but, any other kind of limitation?

I know about KDS+SDK support limitations for some parts of Kinetis series processors but, anything else to take in account if these tools will be used with commercial purposes?

Thanks a lot.

Jose

Hi Jose,

'complimentary' means 'free of charge'. And yes, you can use it to develop applications for any Freescale Kinetis device. But it is true that for example not every device is supported by the Kinetis SDK.

I hope this helps,

Erich
