After breaking some of the provided FlyCat I-Rotor 5010-750KV motors that came in the kit, I am looking to either replace them with the same motors or upgrade to better ones. I've done some reading and it seams like lower KV motors are more efficient paired with a larger propeller (At least for larger drones). I had some BDUAV I-Rotor 5010-360KV motors and decided to try them but it seams like they don't spin nearly fast enough to create lift. The odd thing though is that when armed the motors sometimes oscillate, beep, and then stop. Could this be because the ECU's that come with the kit aren't meant to work with low KV motors or do I have an incorrect PWM setting in Q-Ground Control? Or are 360 KV motors simply too low of a KV?
If so, I would like to know if there are better motors to upgrade to or are the FlyCat I-Rotor 5010-750KV motors best?
My goal is to get a longer flight time. Currently I'm managing about 5-7min on position flight mode using 1245 props and a 5200mAh 3s liPo.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
