Anyone Tried to Build the Linux BSP Image? (NavQ)

Has anyone tried to build their own image for the full BSP on the NavQ?

If so, how much space on your drive did it take up to build and did your drive have the recommended 500GB free? Did you use a native Ubuntu environment to build the image or were you able to build via the Virtual Machine that HoverGames provides? What specs was your comp and how long did the build take? Did you build (bitbake) the regular or minimal image?

I am not sure if I have enough free space (specs below) to do the build, so I'm contemplating buying a new SSD.

My Specs:

Ryzen 7 1700 3.7GHZ

Gskill Ripjaws DDR4 3600 16GB CL16

TeamGroup 450GB SSD (only 63GB/450GB free)

Any insight is appreciated.

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply on this - but your specs look good except for storage. We recommend that you build in a native installation of Ubuntu 18.04 with at least 100GB free. Typically a build runs around 60-80GB (not the images, this is just from all of the source code/build files). From my experience, using a virtual machine will just increase the amount of time to build and you may run into issues.
