FlexIO Not broken out on MIMXRT1010-EVK: i.MX RT1010

The FlexIO seem to be one of the big plusses of the i.MX RT1010.

Am I reading the schematic correctly that the FlexIO pins are not broken out to the Arduino Sheild pins?

Maybe there are more muxing features than I understand.

Hi James

FLEXIO is not specifically fanned out to Arduino interface.

The following flexio pins can be used in RT1010 connectors.

GPIO_AD_09

GPIO_AD_10

GPIO_AD_14

GPIO_08

GPIO_09

GPIO_10

Please pay attention to the signal, some pin route to the connector needs to add 0 resister.

Hi Lucas,

Can you specify what do you call RT1010 connectors?

I could not find how those pins you mention are connected ?

I thou can see some connections from FlexIO pins thru 0 ohm resistors to the arduino pins, but those might need a removal of a 0 ohm resistor, for instance, signal FLEXPWM1_PWMB0 seems to be available using pin 13 of J60 and at pin 12 of J56 thru R56, but what I suspect is that in order to use it, you need to disconnect SAI1_RX_BCLK from GPIO_01 and connect GPIO_01 to FLEXPWM1_PWMB0 using R793 .

Does this makes sense?

Please let us know,

Many thanks,

Hi,

First, in order to ensure signal quality, we should expand the extra resistors.

Then, we need some 0 ohm resistors to connect signal.
