Hi NXP Community,

My device MC56F84766VLK units have markings 'QUAL LOT 1' and 'QUAL LOT 3' on the unit top package. I think these are Engineering samples. What exactly does these means and is this considered as good units? Hope to hear from anyone, thanks!

Hi, Junnifer,

I think that the "QUAL LOT1" or "QUAL LOT 3" are not Engineering samples. The quality is represented by the first two characters for example "MC" which means "Fully qualified, general market flow" and PC which means "Prequalification".

I copy the screenshot from the data sheet of MC56F847xx family.

Hope it can help you

Hi Xiangjun,

Thank you for this information. Here's the sample photo of the unit with QUAL LOT 1.

For the marking, it has 'MC' so i know that the part is correct. Any other idea what the 'QUAL LOT 1' means? Unit photo4.jpg
