Hi Sir / Madam Need your help regarding part no. MC9S12XEP100MAL & part no.S912XEP100W1MAL are both same function, & how to determine the clock frequency. Hoping for positive response. Thanks Glenn

Hello Glennarguil,

The MC... mark means the MCU is mask independent for the specified type (S12XEP100).

The S...W1... mark means exact mask defined by W1 (mask set & revision).

The detail information about marking is in Reference Manual on:

The clock frequency can be determined from RM / Chapter 11 also. It is valid for both mentioned marked devices.
