Security is becoming a quintessential topic for any OEM, and possibly for the entire industry, as evolutions of Autonomous drive capabilities are inexorably tied to the ability to secure the car. A number of components in the security architecture of nodes in any vehicle are very close to the SoC, exploiting hardware capabilities to achieve intended functionality. Answering customer needs, NXP is providing a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) stack, which provides a significant number of security features required by the Automotive needs. The session is intended for engineers either getting started or are interested in seeing how to use AUTOSAR MCAL to generate and implement code. “Hello world” level examples are presented using the Tresos configuration tool to generate code which is then used in application code. NXP’s new generation of embedded Secure Element SE050 redefines security and trust anchoring in IoT devices. Part of NXP’s ’Plug & Trust‘ solutions delivering security right out of the box, the new SE050 is the convergence between integrity protection of a trusted IoT platform, flexible and secured connections of edge to multiple Cloud services, and secure sensing. In this session the new SE050 security enclave for IoT devices will be introduced, along with the new use cases it enables for edge sensors as well as gateways and edge computing platforms.
