Having trouble starting up a MCF5213. I know the code is good because it ran on an eval board and my design is very similar, for now only toggling a LED on a GPIO pin every 500ms using a timer interrupt. Again, code runs on the Eval board so it's the hardware. The only activity I see is the 48MHz on the PSTCLK. Input is an 8MHz oscillator and clkmod = 1:1. Unfortunately clkmod pins are tied to VCC under the chip and can't be easily modified. CPU can be successfully programmed via eZport and verifies so the cpu is allowing the flash to be loaded. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Attached is schematic
I Left the BKPT# pin floating so CPU halted. Pulled up to VCC and runs like a champ
Hi,
From the schematic attached, I can not find the BDM connection. You mentioned that pulled the BKPT up to VCC, do you use the 4.7K pull-up?
Put it right to VCC to get me going but have added a 4.7k pullup to the final design. Also had trouble getting Port DD working as GPIO but got that working also after some more reading.
