Is there a reference design or anything like that provided by Freescale? I couldn't find it anywhere in datasheet or reference manuals.

The schematics and board layout files for the Tower module containing the MCF52259 are available for download. Do a keyword search for "TWR-MCF5225x hardware" to find them and see if that helps.

The evaluation & demo boards are a reasonable hardware reference, schematics are available for download.

 

Our hardware is using MCF52259 on a custom board, but I'm not at liberty to share it with the world - not that it would be much use unless you're trying to make the same product we're making anyway.
