I m also trying to implement the same functionality; Can communication between MC9S12XDT512 and MCF52259. S12X board has MAX 3058 Can trainciever and MCF52259 board has SN65HVD232 3V3 can trainciever. I infact m familiar with can communication and already implemented many communication device that on the market now. But they were all based on S12X with 5V level. I attached my can bus devices.
I dont know what is the problem; I m checking loopback function of both boards and getting what i sent. I m using ignore all filter bits opinion for incoming messages. But when i try to communicate both device eachother S12X gets SYNC but when drive the bus by sending data SYNC gets lost. This goes continuosly.
3V3 can tranciever show 1V2 at CANL when it is not connected to the bus.
I m stick on this issue and staying late to the market. My target application is can to ethernet bridge. Any help?
