codewarrior8.7 for mpc 5xx...license key error

hello all!

i have full licensed version of code warrior 8.7 for mpc5xx, had requesed for the license key , on gettin it i pasted it in the license.dat file (which was previously empty) on my pc, but still the IDE is giving an error of missing license key and wont open up.

the path of the license file is: C:\Program Files\Metrowerks\CodeWarrior\license.dat

please suggest as to what to do about it.

would really appreciate a prompt reply.

i had mailed  the license file to license@freescale.com few days ago and got a reply from them today with the correct license file and thesoftware is working now.

Hello

Either the tools are not checking the appropriate license file or you are not using the appropriate license file.

First thing to check is did you define an environment variable LM_LICENSE_FILE or LM_LICENSE_PATH on your system?

If the environment variable is defined try deleting it. Is it working better.

If that does not help, you need to submit a service request  for that.

and click on "Submit a service request"

Make sure to attach the license file you are using to the service request.
