I was running fine connecting through USB to code warrior tap.

Now whenever I try to connect says it cannot connect to probe.

I see the probe in device manager and can connect to it via a console connection but code warrior will not connect

Please provide more information about what CodeWarrior you are using and the host OS. Also, you can open ccs console and try to connect to cwtap as below:

config cc cwtap

show cc

Provide the output.

Also, you can go to ccs folder, where you can find /driver folder and using the indication from readme file you can try to reinstall the cwtap driver.
