Pushbutton switch stimulation using the special edition version

Hello,

Just want to confirm that the special edition does not allow stimulation of a pushbutton or any switch connected to an I\O port.  I can toggle an LED using the graphical tools, but not a switch input.

Is there a way to stimulate an input using the special edition version?

Thanks

Hello

The Special edition only limits the number of instruments you can add in a visualization tool window.

It does not limit the functionality of the instruments.

I did try on a simple project and I can toggle a bit on POTA through a Switch Instrument.

Did you initialize the port direction register appropriately to allow input on that bit?

As you did not specify which version of CodeWarrior you are using I assumed you are using CodeWarrior for MCU V6.2.

Hello again,

I have the read the posts similiar to this topic, but they discuss simulating KBI interrupts.  For a polling application, can a switch component change the input value on a pin?

Thanks
