Profiler and Coverage in MC9S12XEP100 with CodeWarrior V5.0

Hi,

I am trying to use the Profiling tools within CodeWarrior Professional 5.0 and a P&E USB BDM, and when I open the component I get an error message which says:

"Not available using current hardware derivative hardware"

What extra hardware is required to enable the profiling support? I can not find any reference as to what hardware / derivatives this should work / not work with.

You need not extra hardware, but different MCU.

Profiler and Coverage work with S12C. Don't work with S12XD. Don't know about other families.

I don't know the reason why S12X are problematic. Maybe it's due XGATE?

Have been looking why profiling of S12XE under HiWave doesn't work and found this thread...

Really nothing to make it working?

Got the message from support.

Profiler (and Coverage) components are working for Hc12 but not for the S12(x).
