With the Eclipse-based CodeWarrior 10.x, CW can be updated within the IDE using the on-line method. This is a great way to see what updates and service packs for new devices are available. There is a video link here showing the on-line update method.
The on-line method is preferred, but sometimes the manual method is required. This could be for an update that is not yet released on the web, or not in the updater repository yet. Or perhaps you are having issues using the on-line method.
