Hi Gerd,
a) go to https://www.nxp.com/cwmcu11
b) Download eval:
c) click on the link:
d) Download the file. I recommend the 'offline' as that way you get everything in one package.
I hope this helps,
Erich
Hi Gerd,
maybe I'm missing your point, but:
a) download CW for MCU11.1
b) run the installer, install it into the default installation path (do *not* overwrite your CW for MCU v10.7)
c) done
I hope this helps,
Erich
Hi Erich,
Thank you for your answer. I think the same, but I have not fount the link to download v11.1.
I started the download from site Support: Developer Recources ... .... CodeWarrior for MCU 11.1
On this site in the line - Purchase Model / perpetuel - I clicket on yellow button "Free Trial". In opening window was only read:
Version: 10.7, Description: - CodeWarrior for MCU Professional Edition (Windows-Eclipse / Updates. -
On this way I came only to Result descripted in my questiion.
Summary: Where can I find in NPX website startpoint for download CW MCU v11.1,
so good to read in your letter with a, ..b.., c..
I hope, you can help

Hi Erich,
Thank you! CW MCU 11.1 is downloaded on my PC.
All is simple, when i know how it is to do.
I would like to understand, what is the purpos of my wrong path?
When I have to go this way (described in my question above)?
I wondered about word "offline" in your suggested way.
Is it right, when I think: First is downloaded all dates online and then
ist this material installed offline, in contrast to online,
where the whole process happens online
Now I have to learn to work with CW. I have extensive documents.
But I think it's better to learn with a specific HCS08 target.
For this I will ask a new question, which target I should buy.
With best regards
and Hoping for further help on my way.

Hi Gerd,

I do not recommend to start with a HCS08 target, because all new devices are pretty much ARM Cortex based. I'm not using any HCS08 in my designs for years, and using ARM Cortex instead. The other point is that the CodeWarrior for MCU are legacy tools too, and I would not recommend it for any new designs.
Instead, go with the MCUXpresso IDE (http://www.nxp.com/mcuxpresso/ide) as this one is state-of-the-art and actively developed.
And if you are looking for something easy to start learning, look at the LPC845-BRK board (Unboxing the NXP LPC845-BRK Board | MCU on Eclipse ). I have written tutorials on that blog for that board too, e.g. Tutorial: Blinky with the NXP LPC845-BRK Board | MCU on Eclipse .
I hope this helps,
Erich
Hi Erich,
Yes, you are right. I should think longer about the choice of MCU and it has a lot to do with my microcontroller story.
I've been thinking about my microcontroller project for a long time. I would like to write about my background.
Is there a way to do this in German?
With best regards
