Error importing CW10.5 file into 10.6

I am attempting to import a project done in 10.5 (K70 PE) into the latest CW 10.6

CW imports the file and then I get this message:

Invalid Workspace In Use

The current workspace has been moved or copied from a different location in the file system.

This is not supported, and can cause unpredictable behavior.  Please select another workspace.

How do I resolve that?

Did you move that workspace or have you copied it?

Or are you trying somehow to importe the .metadata of the workspace?

The workspace was moved to a new HD after the old one died. I recreated the folder structure. (I should be able to move workspaces though. Who never has to do that? )

No, you *never* shall use the workspace (I mean the .metadata folder).

You can move the *projects*, but not the workspace (.metadata).

So if you do this, you will screw up things badly.

You need to create a new workspace on the new location.

You can copy/import workspace settings from the previous workspace, see Copy my workspace settings | MCU on Eclipse

The project folders inside the workspace folder you can move/copy, then import them again into your new workspace.

I hope this helps,

Erich

Thanks Erich. That is so poor. I suppose I will just have to get used to it.
