Hello all,
I installed CW10.0 and after years of use of CW products I'm really ugly disappointed. Except of the fact it is based o Eclipse, what I will not discuss here, I noticed missing support for HC08 MCUs.
What can I do to support old (5 years!) devices based around HC08 chips? HC08 is not legacy MCU family and its members are still marked as "Active", so I expect it to be supported.
Thanks all,
J.
Have you ever really used CW10.0?
Check FSL link for CW 10.0, HCS08 is supported by CW10.0
Here is the list of device support:
Hello,
As far as I know HC08 should be supported by the CodeWarrior classic (non-Eclipse).
The latest version is v6.3 available here:
http://cache.freescale.com/lgfiles/devsuites/HC08/CW_MCU_V6_3_SE.exe
Stanish
Thanks for responses.
So, for HCS08 there is CW10.0 (Eclipse based) and CW6.3 (non-Eclipse).
For HC08 there is CW6.3 only.
Will freescale update non-Eclipse based CW versions in future, or this (CW6.3) is last non-Eclipse version and further developement will be moved to Eclipse based CW?
I cannot comment on future product directions. However, what I would suggest is that you file a service request on the lack of HC08 support in MCU v10. That way your request gets logged and the engineering team is made aware of it. I cannot guarantee that the feature will be added, but getting it in front of the engineers is a good start.
