Thanks a lot for contacting us.

Would you please help me to check:

1)            The connection setting in CodeWarrior

Please open Target Settings by 'ALT'+'F7' key, then go to Debugger->Remote Debugging panel. If you would like to use OSBDM for debugging, please choose <56800E Local FSL OSBDM Connection>. Then click on "Edit Connection" button. On the pop-up window, please check whether you have set the GDL DLL correctly. The default location of OSBDM GDI dll is: {Compiler}bin\Plugins\Support\OSBDM\osbdm-jm60_gdi_dsc.dll.

Please refer to the uploaded screenshot.

2)            J20 and J21 jumper on MC56F8257 board

If using OSBDM connection for debugging, please enable J20 jumper. As well J21, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 on J21 should also be connected.

3)            The OSBDM driver

Please power on your board and connect it with PC, open Device manager, can you see this device? I also uploaded a screenshot for its display. Please log on Freescales website with your e-mail address and find this SR to download it.

4)  Power Supply

In case of USB power supply, please connect J11-1 to J11-2. In case of power line supply, please contact J10-1 to J11-2.

Hope it helps! If not, please contact me again. I need to know:

1)            The OS on your PC

What's OS on your PC? Is it a 32bit, or 64bit OS? DSC tool does not support Windows 7 at present.

2)            The firmware in 9S08JM60 on board

Did you ever program the 9S08JM60 in OSBDM module? The firmware should have been programmed before the board left factory. Did you reprogram it?
