Hi Lance,

CodeWarrior for MCU should be reserved for Eclipse version.

this is CW for MCU V10.x.

Classic/legacy must be used for all tools using classic IDE (No eclipse tool).

this is the case for:

CW for HC12 V5.1 and older

CW for DSC V8.3 and older,

      CW for MGT V9.2,

CW for MPC55xx/56xx V2.9 and older,

      ...

If you're using CW for DSC V8.3, the right forum is Classic/Legacy.

In all case we can move a post in a right forum.

this is not a problem.

Regards

Pascal

I reposted in the correct forum, now I want to delete the original post.

BTW, Here's my actual issue:

I'm trying to build a project on my computer (Win 7 64bit) that was

created on a different computer. Both computers have CW 8.3 (About says

5.3, what's with that anyway?) but the tool was installed in a different

folder on my computer. The project builds without error but when I try

to debug I get an error in a dialog box that says "Could not open config

file" along with a lengthy path that ends with 568006_flash.cfg The

path begins with "c:\Program Files" which is where CW was installed on

the other computer. CW can't find the file because the installation on

my computer is in "c:\Program Files (x86)". I suppose I could copy the

Freescale folder from Program Files x86 to Program Files but is seems

like there ought to be a way to debug a project created on a different

computer without that kind of trickery. Anyone know how to fix this

easily/correctly?

Hi,

You've installed CW for DSC V8.3 on 2 PCs.

On PC-1 the tool is installed on c:\Program Files\DSCV8.3

On PC-2 the tool is installed on c:\Program Files (x86)\DSCV8.3

How do you have installed the tool on PC-2 ?

with CD or installer file ?

      copy the installation folder ?
