Multilink Universal cannot connect to MCF5566EVB

I just got an MCF5566EVB eval board.  I'm trying connect with the P&E Multilink Universal that came with it.

I'm using CodeWarrior Development Studio for Freescale MPC55xx and MPC56xx version 2.10, build 120305.

When I try to connect, I get the following message in the Status Window:

Debugger retrying force to background mode.  Can not enter background Mode.

In the PEMicro Connection manager, I get a message saying "Can't communicate with the target processor! Please check your connections between the cable and the target and make sure the target has power."

One thing I've notice, is the PEMICRO Connection Manager is referring to BDM but the MPC5566EVB uses JTAG.

could you please show me, which version of ICDPPCNEXUS you use in CW 2.10?

I tried with two versions (version 1.34 did not work), but with version 6.83 it works correct.

It appears I have Version 1.34

How do I update ICDPPCNEXUS?  I've tried using the CodeWarrior Updater and it says I'm up-to-date

you can download ICDPPCNEXUS from the link below and check, if it works.

Another possibility is contact PeMicro support directly and ask them, if they can provide you the newest version for CW2.10.

I can see some download link at Product Details tab. Please see the figure below.

But from my point of view, it would be good, if you contact PeMicro support, describe your problem and ask them, what could be the best solution.
