Hi all,
I'm trying to run overnight compiles using windows scheduled tasks with automated login.
The USB dongle license is not recognized for som reason when running the S12X compiler/linker this way.
If I log in manually and run the compiler/link it all works fine.
Is there some trick associated with getting this to work.
Same thing trying to compile when logged into windows via the remote desktop access to a licensed machine.

Does the HC12 compiler/linker work with the dongle normally, that is, when someone is sitting at the machine? I am just trying to eliminate a licensing problem as the culprit.
Next, when do the automated scripts execute and remote accesses occur? Is it at night or when the machine has been sitting idle? I'm wondering if when the machine goes idle it might power down the USB ports, and then CodeWarrior can't "see" the dongle because the USB port is not powered up, or it powers up slowly, long after CodeWarrior launches. That is my shot in the dark...

The dongle works fine in all aspects on a local logged in session.
Scheduled tasks execute on a machine that is always powered on (the windows always on power management option) so disks never spin down and the red lamp on the dongle is always on even if no-one is logged into the machine.
Since its only during linking the failing license causes an error the machine has already been busy compiling for some 10 minutes when the link phase fail. So for that reason I think the power state shouldn't be a problem.
