I had to buy a new portable HP dv6 PC because the old one is not any more working.

On the new PC it is preinstalled windows7 64 bits, no other chance.

Following the suggestions of local rapresentative I had Download  a CW for microcontrollers V6.3

and I tryed to install in emulation of XP service pack2. No Way, the installation does not go to an end

because a dialog window come up claiming that " Program is not compatible with XP 64 bits".

Where I can find some detailed information on How to install CW with Windows 7 ?

Thanks

If you search the forums, you'll find this post, which has a work-around:

Not completely. I have to face and to solve different problems, some of them comming from Codewarrior itself, the projects done with an older version when loaded on the new one was

generating errors.

Installing the program as suggested by you win7 was claiming for a 'system error 85' that for sure I am not able to know what it means.

It seems I was able to instal the program V5.7.0 from an original CD I had with a demo board

 "Demo 9S08QG8 (name PE501 3642)".

Solved the problems of errors, I said before, the program seems run properly up to the connection  with the demo board that it is used olso as programmer.

At this point the system fails the connection because do  not recognize the demo. Having not a Cyclone programmer I dont know if it is a problem of demo or whichever.

Fore sure ne new drivers  'Driver_10' have been intalled and the demo is working properly with XP SP3.
