I have taken over a project that is using Codewarrior 8.3 on the DSP568006.   We are investigating the benefits of switching to the new Eclipse 10.2 tool.  The 8.3 tools have some major issues, but they are at least known.  Does anyone know the specific improvements that have been made have been made to 10.2?    Has anyone else made this move and is it worth the effort?

Others can speak to issues with the CW 10 tools, but I will point out the the CodeWarrior Eclipse IDE is going to take a lot more system resources than the CodeWarrior Classic IDE. Put another way, if you are running the Classic tools on machines that are several or more years older, you are going to have to upgrade to new systems. The system requirements for CodeWarrior for MCUS v10.2 can be found on this Freescale web page.
