CW_DSC56800E_8.3_Special.exe - "CCSProtocolPlugin : Unknown protocol error"

I've downloaded "CW_DSC56800E_8.3_Special.exe" and installed it in my desktop. Opened the Codewarrior project in the folder "Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for DSC56800E v8.3\Stationery\DSP56800x_EVM_Examples\MC56F83xx\MC56F8367\isr_led" It is compiling without any error. While clicking th Debug icon, I'm getting an error like this "CCSProtocolPlugin : Unknown protocol error". I've not connected any device or any emulator (USB TAP). Please help me to resolve the situation.

Since you do not have any hardware connected, I assume that you are trying to run the program in the simulator. Look at the project's target settings and see if it's set for a hardware target. If so, you want to change those settings to target the simulator. You may have to adjust some debugger settings as well.
