56F8300 "CCS not present"

I've installed CodeWarrior for the DSP 56800. I've also recently installed the update for version 7.3. When I try to debug the code, I get this error:
"CCS: Command converter not present"
I'm using a laptop, with a PCMCIA parallel port. I've used this PCMCIA card before, on a similar laptop, with the same 56F8300Demo board, and it worked fine.
Any ideas on what I can try next?

I have the same problem. Yesterday I installed the update to 7.3. After updating it worked fine. But today (after restart?) I get the same message.
I have a Dell Dimension 5100 with PCI parallel port (at address 0xCC78).
Did you find a sollution?

Yes I did get it to work. This is what I did:

In Windows control panel, I set the parallel port to LPT3 (it was
LPT1) before.

What the Freescale guy told me was that the Command Converter Server
(CCS), does not like addresses in hex format (although that wasn't a
problem in older versions). So I set the LPT address in decimal by
doing something like this in CCS:

(bin) 1 % delete all
(bin) 2 % config cc lpt:888
(bin) 3 % config save

Instead of the 888 you would of course use 52344.

No. I am getting the same error again when i trying to download to 8122 board in CW 3.0.

The interesting thing is that , i can download into my 8101 and 8144 board using the same usb tap and code warrior versions in the same PC  now also with out any problem.

Earlier(2 weeks earlier) i had tested(had downloaded) the 8122 board with the same settings but i don't know what happened(no change in project) now.

Please help me out

By the way. When I first try to download, I get and error that says something like "unknown protocol error". I then try to download again and all is well.
