can you suggest a new chip pin to pin compatible with MC9S08GB60ACFUE ? I was told by my agent that MC9S08GB60ACFUE was phased out.  We don't want to change the PCB layout

Hello Chang-Chih,

sorry, the direct replacement of this MCU in LQFP64 package is not longer available. Technically the GT60 is pin compatible, but it is not in the LQFP64 package. You will need to change your PCB layout.

Please let me know if you want that I reco,mend other device, as Stanislav said there is not pin to pin replacement part.

Maybe the S08AC family can help you (not pin to pin ) or the S08P family
