QE128 FEE to FEI Mode switching upon XTAL failure

Hi all,

I've searched the docs about this and there is nothing related I could find.

I'm interested in knowing what happens when during FEE the crystal fails to oscillate.   Does it automatically switch to FEI (the reset default) or does it completely lock up?  I can catch failure during startup and remain in FEI but what if the failure happens after I have switched to FEE?  Is this topic covered someplace?

TIA

Hello Tony,

The QE128 seems to be missing the loss of clock detection available on some devices.  So I guess you would be reliant on COP reset eventually occuring.  The COP timer clock selected would need to be the 1kHz source, rather than the bus.

Regards,
Mac
