Hello,

After, i contacted the assistance, i try to obtain an answer on this forum about my problem.

I will need your assistance concerning a project in progress on the use of a chart DEMO908QB8.

It is that I often have a problem when I flash his memory, which seems well to proceed, until the moment when, I received the following message:

"CPROG08SZ Programmer"

Error 48 (about the memory protection)

I do not find anything on this subject in all the help files provided with code warrior (version 5).

I does not include/understand, because I had notched the opposite before the launching of the operation, while asking the utility not to protect the memory, but to authorize any obliteration at the time of the writing.

Could you guide me to leave this dead end?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Rayman,

As far as I can tell error 48 is "Error contacting target". There are several other messages for problems between PC and your MON08 interface. So the problem seems to be more associated with the MON08 to MCU comms.

What do you have for a clock source? (Crystal?)

If its internal maybe the problem is the erased OSCTRIM value!

Hello,

> > What do you have for a clock source? (Crystal?)

I use an external oscillator (function generator) at 9,8304 MHz, because internal oscillator at 4MHz does'nt work with 9600 and 19200bauds Sci.

This fact OSCTRIM thus does not seem concerned.

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello,

i have the same problem. The programmer works for other HC08 devices but using the QB8 I get Error 48. Sometimes I can program it once and the I have to wait a few hours to program it again. Else I allways get the error 48. Never managed to get a whole programming and debugging cycle done.

This is drawing at straws here, but I had problems similar to that on the GP32 - where it would work and then 10 minutes later the Flash would not program anymore, then an hour later and it would start working again.  I had the Vtst on the IRQ pin set at 7.5 volts.  When I raised it to 8 volts I never had the problem again.  I don't remember what error message I was getting, but I remember that the problem was intermittent and frustrating.  I don't know anything about this demo board - does it require you to apply Vtst - or does it derive it from the serial driver's charge pump?  You might try measuring the Vtst voltage to make sure it is towards the middle of the allowed range.  Just a thought.

Hello,

I have a 8.2 V Zened diode on Vvtst. and a RC on the reset pin so Vtst should be up right in time and I can measure the 8.2 Volts on the Vtst pin. Tried to connect 9V from the power source and not from the max232 with no success.
