I was going through the technical document "MC13211/212/213/214 Technical Data, Rev. 1.1", at page 27, section 5.2.3, its mentioned like this :-

A separate self-clocked source (approximately 1kHz) for the real-time interrupt allows a walk-up from Stop2 or Stop3 Modes with no external components. ,

Please confirm, that I wouldn't need any additional hardware circuit (low freq crystal) when i want to wake up the device from deep sleep modes after a long duration. (say, 300  seconds). What is the mechanism of waking up the device from deep sleep modes ?

best regards

Hi Sanjay,

I am not sure if you are still waiting for a reply:

You don’t need external components to use the RTI in STOP2 or STOP3 mode. However the RTI needs an external clock to work in Run or wait mode. For more information see the section 5.7 into the MC9S08GT60 datasheet.

The MCU can exit from STOP3 with the following interrupts: IRQ, KBI or RTI.

On the other hand the MCU can exit from STOP2 with the following interrupts: IRQ RTI.

Regards,

Nina
