I need to know how to program the mc68hc908bd48 please help me!!!

Hello to all, I have a small problem,I did make the circuit that appears in the manual of the microprocessor mc68hc908bd48, it is the circuit of MONITOR ROM page 117 of the manual.
Is case that i don`t no  using codewarrior to programme it ,someone can say to me?

Hello,

Monitor mode entry on those old HC08 parts was always troublesome.

1) You have the circuit in the datasheet.

1b) Keep all cables as short as possible

2) Hold the part reset with the reset button on ~RST, hold it down with the power off.

3) Apply power, keeping ~RST low.

4) Make sure that there is voltage Vtst on the ~IRQ pin. It should be VDD+2.5 volts to 9 volts. If you are running at 5.0 volts, Vtst should be at least 7.5 volts.

5) Now release ~RST and the part will enter monitor mode.

You are not using CodeWarrior, and so what program are you using to talk to the MCU over the serial port?

Hello again quimey,

The "MON08 adapter" is the circuit which I think you have built.
There is a schematic for it on page 117 of the datasheet R2.1 (Figure 9.1)
Is this what you have made and connected between your PC's serial port and the BD48?
Does your PC have a "real" serial port or an USB converter or something?

I see by your other posts that you have been struggling for a while now.
Can you tell us where exactly you are stuck.
You have a board with a bd48 on it?
Do you know it works?
Did you build it and it is still untested?
You have built a MON08 adapter but it is not known if it works Yet?
You have Codewarrior (what version?) open with a sample project loaded?
But you don't know what to do next.

I have armed(assembled) the plate with the programmer as figure in the manual
I have not tested it because the socle is SDIP and it was not entering in my protoboard.
I don`t now what is it of MON08 adapter it tries of using code warrior version 7.0
it is not a sample proyec I did do it
