Connecting to PC via USB instead of RS-232

Hello.

This is pretty general question I think. I have PAN802154 wireless module that I program using USB BDM Multilink. At the end of the day I'd want it connected to PC as coordinator. I noticed I can do this using the RS-232 interface, but using serial port is just inconvenient, and if possible I want to use USB port instead.

Any pointers on what can I do? In short I want to be able to do what the BDM Multilink can.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mind elaborating it? COTS USB? FTDI?

Hello,

The most obvious thing here would be to simply use a COTS USB to Serial converter to achieve this. Another would be to use a chip from FTDI or similar to provide a USB interface on board.
