I have studied ch5.5 Proximity Reporter of BLE Demo Applications User's Guide.pdf.
This example is divided into two parts:
1. "Immediate Alert"
Press High or Middle will immediately show different lights. There is no problem with this item
2. "Link Loss Alert Level"
Press High or Middle, and try to reach a distance of 10m, there is no response at all.
2a. I want to know what is the difference between High and Middle?
What conditions will trigger High, what conditions will trigger Middle?

What happens(phone alert sound or KW41 flashing red light) after it is triggered?
2b. I found the following program, but did not understand his behavior?

Another question:
I saw the KW41's Proximity program and saw KW41 send battery to the phone.

But did not see RSSI transmitted value from KW41 to the phone(Proximity Reporter of IOT Toolblox).
Is RSSI calculated by the mobile phone itself, or is it transmitted to the mobile phone by KW41?

Hi Daniel, I hope you're doing well!

The proximity reporter SDK example implements the Link Loss and Immediate Alert services, described by the BLE SIG in this page.

They contain 3 alert levels, which can trigger different events depending on the severity of the alert. In the case of the SDK example, the alert level controls the different color of the RGB LED, with the no-alert status setting the LED off, and the other severity levels each configuring a different shade of blue.

The value of the characteristic can be changed, depending on the configuration done by the user.

The RSSI value is calculated on the phone's end, as it stands for Received Signal Strength Indicator, which is taken from the packets transmitted from the KW41 and received on the phone.

I'm currently performing some tests relating to this SDK example and the Link Loss service, and will provide more information about how it's implemented as soon I am able to.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Best regards,

Sebastian
