PC cannot recognize USB-kw24d512 USB dongle

My PC cannot recognize usb-kw24d512 as the virtual com port. there is the same problem when I change to other PC.

Several days ago ,I try to update the firmware through through j-link ,but USB dongle cannot contact with j-link and flash unsuccessfully.

After that, my PC can not recognize the USB dongle till now.

Please help to solve this problem. thanks.

Hi lun wang,

Are you trying to use the USB-KW24D512 as a sniffer? If so, please follow the next steps:

Locate the USB-KW24D512_802.15.4_Sniffer.bin file included in the USB-KW24D512 Board Support Package.
Copy and paste this binary file in the JLink installation path (i.e. "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGGER\JLink_V600").
Connect the Jlink debugger to the corresponding JTAG connector (J1) in the USB-KW24D512.
Go the JLink installation path, and then open the application "JLink.exe".
Call the next instructions:
1. unlock kinetis
2. device mkw24d512xxx5
3. loadbin USB-KW24D512_802.15.4_Sniffer.bin 0
4. (select SWD and default speed)
Unplug and plug again the USB-KW24D512.

Thanks for reply all the same.

It is a hardware issue because Jtag line is modify by wrong method.

Now it is OK and flash can be succeed.
