You might be also interested in KW0x, which is the latest Freescale sub-1GHz wireless MCU.

At this moment we have available the KW01-MRB (Module Reference Board) plus TWR-RF solution, but we expect that the FRDM form-factor will be also available in Q1/Q2 2015.
