Hi Team,

We are using kw45 raw mcu for proto building which are in oem open state so I can directly use ble wireless example without any prerequisite nbu image flashing can you plz confirm.

Hello

If you are using a KW45 chip for the first time received from the factory, The NBU is mandatory for flashing and testing BLE examples, because the memories integrated in the NBU consist of Bluetooth LE controller stack and radio drivers.

For a KW45 chip that it's not the KW45B41Z-EVK, it is necessary to program the fuse first, download the NBU firmware and finally download the CM33 firmware.

Could you help us confirm; What it is the intended use for this KW45 chip, operating the same as the KW45B41Z-EVK or as custom operation?

For more information about this please refer to Application Note AN14003 Programming the KW45 flash for Application and Radio firmware, I would recommend checking on Chapter 2 Figure 2 the Process flow used, this for a visual image on how the NBU its operating in the process.

Hi Team,

We merged signed image and default .sb3 file and created signle .bin file as told in document AN14003 but I am getting below warning when i downloaded that bin file into KW45

warning : NO data was programmed in FLASH.

Please let us know if there is any wrong process we followed or we should follow any other was to flash.

Hi Luis,

We have sb3 file in KW45 processor sdk and we have sb3 file in kw45 evk board sdk, both of them size is different ,so what is the use of processor sdk sb3 file?

what is present in processor sdk sb3 file?

what is the difference from evk sb3 content and in what case we can use it?

When you mentioned that sb3 file in the KW45 processor and the sb3 file in the KW45 EVK are different size, Could you help us specify what sb3 file are you uploading? Is the sb3 file from SDK upload on both?

Could you help us sharing your log failure for the warning message about data programmed in the flash? And bring more details about the process implemented?
