Unable to Flash JN5189-DK6 Board Using DK6Programmer CLI Tool (Windows 11)

Problem Description:

I am trying to flash binaries onto the JN5189-DK6 board using the DK6-programmer CLI tool provided in the SDK, but I keep encountering a connection error.

Error Message:

COM5: Error opening connection: Read error

Command Used:( with Admin Rights)

\DK6Programmer.exe -V 2 -s COM5 -p ot-cli-ftd.elf.bin

System & Software Details:

Operating System: Windows 11 (64-bit)
SDK Version: MCUXpresso SDK 2.6.11
Flashing Guide: Referring to JN-SW-4407-DK6-Flash-Programmer in the SDK

Troubleshooting Done So Far:

Checked COM port availability → The board is detected as COM5 in Device Manager.
Tried different USB ports & cables → Still the same issue.
Verified driver installation → The required drivers appear to be installed.
Tried running DK6Programmer as Administrator → No change in behavior.
Checked board power & boot mode → The board is powered on.

I notice for your setup you are missing the JN5189T M10 Module to make the connection to the JN5189.

Hi Luis,

Thank you for the Solution.

As you pointed out, the JN518 module was not attached to the carrier board.
I'm able to Flash Now after connecting the JN5189 module
