Hello,

I have just bought an FRDM-KW41Z dev kit.

The dev board has an Arduino R3 compatible connector (for shields or individual cables).

I can not find if the serial RX/TX pins of this socket (HDR pin 1 (PTC6) and pin 2 (PTC7)) are TTL compatible or 3V3.

I see in the schematics that they are connected directly to the uP (MKW41Z512VHT4 MCU).

Please, can anyone tell me which are the RX/TX voltage levels in such board?

Kind regards,

David.

Hi david_sosa,

PTC6, PTC7 which is the UART0-TX and UART_RX pin, it is the 3.3V TTL pin.

So, you also can find a TTL-USB tool to connect that pin, please note, the TTL-USB tool also need to provide the 3.3V to the UART TLL pins.

Wish it helps you!

If you still have questions about it, please kindly let me know!

Best Regards,

Hello Kerry,

I'm sorry, but with your answer, I still have the doubt.

Given that TTL is 5V (it is not the same as 3.3V), then, at which voltage works the UART from the FRDM-KW41Z? 5V or 3.3V?

Regards,

David.

Hi david_sosa,

 KW41 is 3.3V.

As I know, some TTL-USB tool can select 3.3V, this is an example:

Wish it helps you!
