topic T2080 SnVDD Power Requirement in T-Series

1. Tables 6&7 of the T2080 datasheet specify SnVDD of 1.0W for all clocking scenarios. Does this figure refer to S1VDD & S2VDD combined, or 1.0W for S1VDD and 1.0W for S2VDD?

2. The T2080RDB card uses a 1A linear regulator for combined S1VDD & S2VDD. This seems borderline if one assumes the lesser 1.0W total power requirement. Is the 1.0W figure an absolute worst case maximum, or is the T2080RDB implementation perhaps lacking in terms of design margin?

1W is the maximum S1VDD+S2VDD power consumption, 1A current is enough. You can use other power source circuitry than used in the refrence design if you wish.

Regards,

Bulat
