I am trying to set up a T2080RDB-PC. I can connect via console to access uboot/Linux. I have connected

the ETH2 port (as labelled on front of system) but cannot seen to get a network connection working from

either u-boot or Linux. Have verified that am trying to use the right port as the MAC address is printed on

the board socket, and have checked that this is what I am attempting to use from u-boot/Linux.

In u-boot have set environment so that FM1@TGEC3 is the default ethernet device, as sen from this u-boot

startup snippet:

Net: Fman1: Uploading microcode version 106.4.18
FM1@DTSEC3, FM1@DTSEC4, FM1@TGEC1, FM1@TGEC2, FM1@TGEC3 [PRIME], FM1@TGEC4

According to the user guide FM1@TGEC3 actually maps to the ETH2 labelled port, further confirmed with

the uboot bdinfo command that shows I am using the correct device:

ethaddr = 00:04:9F:05:34:46

When trying to ping from uboot, I get:

ping 10.1.0.22
FM1@TGEC3 Waiting for PHY auto negotiation to complete................................ TIMEOUT !
FM1@TGEC3: No link.

The ETH2 Tx/Rx lights on the panel are in a continuous alternating flash pattern.

Anyone any idea what is wrong?

Cheers Steve.

Think is also general typo in that docs have "FM1@GTECn" whereas u-boot has "FM1@TGECn" :

In any case have tried both ETH2 and ETH2 connected directly to my PC and to a network switch. In neither case can not get device to work either from Linux or u-boot. From linux:

fm1-mac1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:9F:05:34:46
inet addr:10.1.7.36 Bcast:10.1.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0
inet6 addr: fe80::204:9fff:fe05:3446/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:508 (508.0 B)
Memory:fe4e0000-fe4e0fff

fm1-mac2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:9F:05:34:47
inet addr:192.168.0.2 Bcast:192.168.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0
inet6 addr: fe80::204:9fff:fe05:3447/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:29 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:1530 (1.4 KiB)
Memory:fe4e2000-fe4e2fff

Both ports have alternating flash link/activity lights, which sort of looks like some sort of device error status?
