The t1042 processor core (e5500 core) does not support multi-threading, this feature is available starting from e6500 core.

So, in case of t1042 "virtual core" is equal to "physical core" - t1042 device has 4 physical cores. This is said in T1040 Reference Manual, Table 1-1 and, also, shown at Figure 1-2:

Have a great day,
Alexander
TIC

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.

Hi,

In the datasheet of quad core t1042 processor, I found that it's core virtual core. Does that mean t has two physical core with hyper threading? If not, what is the difference between virtual core and physical core?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Prasanta
