topic Clarification on MPX2200GP Pin Configuration and Output Behavior in Sensors

Hello,

I’m currently working with the MPX2200GP pressure sensor, but I’m a bit confused about its pin configuration. I couldn’t find a datasheet specifically labeled for the MPX2200GP variant. However, I did find the general MPX2200 datasheet, which indicates the following pinout:

Pin 1: GND

Pin 2: +Vout

Pin 3: Vs (Supply)

Pin 4: -Vout

Can you please confirm whether this pin configuration is also applicable to the MPX2200GP variant?

Additionally, I have a few more questions:

1. Differential Output: If I supply 10V to Vs (Pin 3), what voltage range should I expect between +Vout (Pin 2) and -Vout (Pin 4) when measured with a multimeter?

2. Relative Output: What voltage should I expect if I measure between +Vout (Pin 2) and GND (Pin 1)?

3. Calibration: The datasheet mentions that the sensor is factory calibrated at 10V. Do I need to perform any additional

calibration before use?

Hello lifewouthumans

Here's the official datasheet for this NP. I don't know if this is the one you were using.

In response to your questions:

0.- Yes, that is the correct PIN distribution

1.- The voltage difference between +Vout and -Vout will range from approximately -1 mV to +41 mV, depending on the pressure applied (0 to 200 kPa)

2.- Likewise, you would have a maximum value of up to 41mV, but I personally recommend that you always measure +Vout and -Vout, considering that this way you will have greater precision.

3.- No, as long as it is not exposed to temperatures and pressures outside those recommended, recalibration is not necessary.

I hope this information has helped you, please let me know if you need help with anything else.

Have a great day and best of luck.
