    <description>&lt;P&gt;In the NBP8FD4ST1, I need to verify the communication between the NBP8 and the LPC845. I read the SPIOPS (0x0038) register and received 0x81F0 in response to the 0x0038 command. The binary form of the response is 1000 0001 1111 0000 (0x81F0). From this, I extracted the SPIOPS register value as 0x124. But, the expected value should be 0x04.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Madhavi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;From the screenshot I see that&amp;nbsp; you are sending and reading LSB first / MSB last whereas the NBP implements MSB first / LSB last.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So, a command to read SPIOPS should be sent as 0x00E1 instead of 0xE100.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For resources on SPI communication, please refer to:&lt;BR /&gt;- The app note below on the NBP webpage (&lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/products/NBP8-9x" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.nxp.com/products/NBP8-9x&lt;/A&gt;). It has an associated file which is an excel tool to encode and decode SPI commands and responses.&lt;/P&gt;
