Minimum Operating Pressure for MPXM2102AS

The data sheet for the MPX2102 series sensors states the minimum pressure for the MPX2102A sensor is 20 kPa. Does this extend to all absolute pressure sensors in the series or just that particular package? We have an application with size constraints (favoring the MPXM2102AS); however, requires functionality near 5 kPa absolute. Please advise.

Hello Jeffrey,

As you can see on this website, the minimum operating pressure of our absolute pressure sensors is either 15 kPa or 20 kPa.

For lower pressure, we can offer the MPXV6115V gauge vacuum sensor in SOP package.

Hello,

We used in our project the obsolete sensor :MPX2100A (LINK).

It's not possible to buy it, so an alternative seems the MPX2102A (LINK).

I see one difference about the minimum operating pressure : 0kPa for the MPX2100A and 20kPa for MPX2102A . are there other difference between them? The internal electronic of the sensor is different, no error on the datasheet?
