To whom it may concern,

I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Malta and I am conducting a study on crash test and vehicle safety. For this study, I have exploited the Crash Impact Sensor (which is also referred to as Airbag Sensor) of a 2007 Toyota Auris.

The part number for this sensor's IC is SX1258EG (A photo of the sensor in question can be found attached).

If I may ask, could you kindly send me some information, its technical specifications or any data sheets please as I searched on your website and haven’t found anything on it.

Hi Miguel,

It looks like a custom accelerometer similar to the MMA1254EG, but unfortunately I cannot share more technical information about that.
