Hello Kevin,

I hope all is great with you.

What do you mean with effected by the weather?

As a first option, I would like to recommend the MPL3115A2 device.

The MPL3115A2 is an absolute pressure sensor with an I2C digital interface. The compensated pressure output can then be converted to altitude, utilizing the formula stated in Section 8.1.3 "Pressure/altitude" provided in meters.

So, the device can be used for High-accuracy altimetry and barometry.

Please let me know if this information is useful for you.

Regards,

David

I am looking for a pressure sensor that would be effected by the weather. Does NXP make any?

I am reading flow pressure through a two stroke engine needle valve and want to ajust flow with weather effecting adjustment.

I know there is some Sunx modules that are used in semiconductor manufacturing but don't want to go that route.

I work on

dialysis machines and have to calibrate water pressures.

The sensor would have to withstand getting water in it and have an output

for a micropressor.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

The sensors we have are only guaranteed for use in dry and clean air conditions, we don't have any sensor that work specifically in water. However, with some special technique (air column) is possible to measure this pressure.

The application note: Media compatibility for pressure sensors gives detail in some test conducted for this pressure sensors in different media and the air column technique.

Darío
